Mary and Susan - Travelers, Adventurers, Renegades!
In 2019 and 2020, we retired, finally! After years of travel squeezed into frustratingly short annual vacations, we craved a huge adventure. We sold our house and nearly all of our belongings, packed our suitcases and made ready to live for several years in Valencia, Spain!
And then Covid hit! No leaving the country. So…..we pivoted and started on an adventure to explore the United States. We agreed we wanted to stay in a place for 2-4 weeks to “dig deep” and avoid too many “touch points” for Covid. And we wanted to drive no more than 8-9 hours a day.
And so it was that we spent 2021 driving from sea to shining sea and visiting many places we had never been before (Maine)….and some we had seen a long time ago (Seattle, Chicago).
Eternally curious, always eager for an adventure and hungry for new experiences and vistas, we found many interesting places along the way. Airbnb’s, Vrbo’s and hotels were our homes providing shelter and safety along the way and giving us a sense for what living there would be like. We simply loved it!
In 2022, we are finally heading overseas and we can’t wait!
