Delaware

September, 2020

The Delaware Eastern Shore is like a little overlooked gem. Ocean City and Virginia Beach have more recognition as Beach Towns and St Michaels grabs the Eastern Shore attention, but Rehoboth Beach and the shoulder of land where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, its immediate inland lakes, marshes, wetlands and meadows are extraordinarily beautiful and well connected by hiking and biking trails. This area of the United States is one of our favorites and we were lucky enough to spend 6 weeks happily enjoying our explorations..

Lewes

Once a working fishing town, Lewes has retained its charming original streets and architecture, which have been rejuvenated to be an upscale, lovely vacation spot. Home to several rather grand and special hotels, the rest of us can visit, shop and eat well and most importantly catch several of the tour boats that leave from this wharf.
